SNAKE ANTI VENOM

Snakes and dogs are not a good mix, and if your dog does get bitten by a snake, then time becomes your enemy. If it happens, you need to get your pet to the nearest vet and administer anti-venom intravenously.

However, AntiVenom is quite difficult to procure here and not all vets have Anti-Venom all the time. You could lose valuable time phoning around, or traveling to different vets in search of it.

Here at Canine Point we are liaising with manufacturers to bulk order some AntiVenom to make available to you. Whilst you will not be able to administer it yourself, having some to hand can buy your dog time. Equally, if in the moment, you need more, we have a database of other local Phuket people who may also have stocks - making it potentially quicker to get more assistance to you and your dog.

Each vial has a shelf life of circa 4 years, and with any luck it will just sit in your fridge unused for the that time - but again, always good to be prepared.

We have 2 options:

​

1. COBRA ANTI-VENOM - THB 2,900

This is for use when you know for sure, you’re dealing with a Cobra bite. 

​

2. MIXED ANTI-VENOM - THB 3,900 

This can also be used for Cobra bites, but also for use when you’re not sure of the snake variant.
